Upon collision, Ford SYNC 911 Assist will immediately use any paired smart phone in the area to contact emergency response directly. Before Ford’s system, most emergency calls made by vehicles were routed through call centers, using up some of that precious time between crash and rescue. Even if you’ve disabled your Bluetooth or set the system to Do Not Disturb, SYNC 911 Assist will override these settings during an emergency and make the call for help anyway.
