Unfortunately issues can still occur and result in a recall, which has happened in the past month with the door latch on several Ford models. As of September 8th, Ford has announced that an additional 1,500,000 vehicles are at risk for this issue and are covered by the recall - which brings the expanded total of cars affected to 2,383,292.
